Using prayer to shape the world into a better place

There is an all too common misconception that one person does not have the power or influence to shape the world we live in. This theory is backed up by all types of math and statistics from university trained economists who have probably never felt the loving hand of God before. Although embracing education and formal study is something our church wholeheartedly supports, we cannot agree with this former theory that has been suggested. What do we believe? We believe that EVERYONE has the power to shape the world into a better place.

As Christians, we have been given a wonderful tool. Using the Bible as our ultimate guide, we can harness the power of prayer to provide positive support in many situations. The prayers of few can affect the lives of many, and vice versa, the prayers of many can affect the lives of very few. We must remember that God is all powerful and through him, all miracles can occur, beyond the "logic and statistics" of a cold, unfeeling "statistical analysis".

We are often asked how prayer can be used to shape the world into a better place. The answer is easy. When you are pondering a difficult situation, a frustrating problem, a sad world event, or perhaps just something you think should be different in the world use prayer. Make your case to God, have complete faith, and pray. Yes, pray. Fold your arms, bow your head to the almighty, humble yourself, and pray.

In an ever-changing world, we can thank God for providing us a bastion of stability and hope, a powerful weapon against pessimism, despair, and negativity. Find a cause, make your case to God, and use prayer. It's here for us to use.
