Community. Building community is everything. Can I say that again?

In the era of impersonal internet websites, cellular phones, big social networking websites, it is absolutely critical to emphasize the important of building a real community near you. Community starts with family and friends and builds outwards.

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

This quotes means making sure that your closest friends and family share a spiritual relations, but it also means making sure that everyone is well physically. Lean on people you care about to help you out when you are falling behind, and in turn help them out when they need a hand.

Once you have established a good local community, imagine what happens when you join a neighboring group? Two good groups meet, then three, then four.. Imagine how our country and WORLD would look if everyone spent time developing their local communities. Remember that peace starts from within and that this same principle applies to groups of people.

And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 22:37-40

Go out and follow this commandment and please share your stories about building community with us. Make it an everyday task. Just like you devout time to going to work, eating, brushing your teeth, add in some time for connecting with the lovely people around you. You'll be happy that you did.
